After several holiday visits to this beautiful part of the Algarve, we resolved to move here in September 2007, in order to establish a home and a business. Our choice of starting a bed and breakfast was very easy, as we both have a deep interest in the leisure industry. Our greatest challenge was finding a suitable property in this area, sufficient for us to entertain 15 to 20 guests.
Eventually, we found our ideal property, “Casa Porta Azul ”, a 19th century farmhouse which during the last 20 years, was used in some way or another, as a guest house. The building has now been completely renovated with a view to maintaining it’s old rustic charm, but with the latest, and highest standard of luxury.
All rooms and apartments have their own entrance and terrace. The fruit and palm trees provide beautiful shady places out of the sun. In the heat of the day you can cool off in our swimming pool, and in one of the two community kitchens you can always get yourself a cold drink.
